Houri Alavi Lic.Ac., BA, M.B.Ac.CHouri has been interested in gynaecological and fertility issues for many years. Since qualifying, she has undertaken postgraduate training in acupuncture for women, fertility and pregnancy, and worked consistently in this field, including treatments during assisted conception cycles. She has a particular interest in how acupuncture can support emotional health through subfertility. She lives in Hove with her family. Elaine Gibbons Adv.Lic.Ac., M.B.Ac.C.Elaine has been practising acupuncture since 1993. She has always worked with a particular interest in pregnancy, gynaecology and childbirth, having attended many labours. She has been teaching childbirth classes since 1997. Elaine Gibbons has a Diploma in Natural Nutrition and is passionate about nutritional support. Elaine is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and trained at the College of Traditional Acupuncture, Leamington Spa. She attained her Advanced Licentiate in Acupuncture in 2000. Elaine has completed numerous advanced courses in acupuncture for fertility and pregnancy, as well as Chinese dietary therapy. Training and Professional MembershipsHouri and Elaine are members of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and trained at the College of Traditional Acupuncture, Leamington Spa. They were Co-ordinators of the BAcC Regional Group from 2002-2005. Houri and Elaine are co-founders of the Brighton & Hove Natural Fertility Centre, where they work with a team of complementary health practitioners with a special interest in fertility. They have established close links with local hospitals, fertility and gynaecology clinics, consultants, midwives and nurses. They have both undertaken additional training in acupuncture for fertility and pregnancy and confidently and frequently integrate acupuncture with Western treatments. |

Kelly HorneKelly qualified as a massage therapist in 1999. She also gained a diploma in Indian Head Massage and Aromatherapy. She has worked within adult education for the past 4 years teaching relaxation massage workshops, basic aromatherapy and Indian Head Massage and is a tutor at College of Classical Massage in Brighton. Kelly works from Unit 4 Natural Health and Yoga Centre, 20-26 Round Hill Street, Brighton BN2 3RG and offers home visits. |

Jan Mathew MA RSHOMJan is a registered member of the Society of Homeopaths. She qualified from the London College of Classical Homeopath in 1996. She also holds a Diploma in Applied Systemic Theory (Family Therapy) from the Tavistock Clinic, London, UK.

Helen Santander ND & Dip HerbHelen is a Naturopath and Herbalist. She trained at The College of Naturopathic Medicine, London. Helen is a member of the Unified Register of Herbal Practitioners. She is also a registered nurse. Her background is in Emergency Nursing which she worked in for 8 years. Helen has a special interest in fertility issues relating to both women and men.
