Good nutrition is the cornerstone of good health. Today, much of our diet is nutritionally deficient: this is often the result of the way our food is produced and processed, or the balance/types of food we eat. This can have a negative impact on our health. Many common health problems can be prevented or alleviated with a balanced, healthy diet.
Before your initial consultation, you will complete a questionnaire so you can have an individual assessment. Elaine will then work with you by considering the optimum amount of nutrients necessary for your lifestyle, to improve any health conditions, as well as promote better health in general. She can make practical and simple dietary recommendations to detoxify your body, correct mineral and vitamin deficiencies and restore healthy digestion so that your body can absorb the nutrients taken in.Her approach also integrates Chinese medical dietary therapy for health restoration and promotion.
Elaine is passionate about integrating Acupuncture and Nutrition as she feels that the two are highly complementary. Nutritional information is empowering and enables you to be proactive with your health on a daily basis. Acupuncture can increase the impact a good diet offers and increase your ability to attain health and well-being.
About Elaine
Elaine Gibbons has a Diploma in Natural Nutrition and is passionate about nutritional support. Elaine has been practising acupuncture since 1993. She has always worked with a particular interest in pregnancy, gynaecology and childbirth, having attended many labours. She has been teaching childbirth classes since 1997. Elaine is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and trained at the College of Traditional Acupuncture, Leamington Spa. She attained her Advanced Licentiate in Acupuncture in 2000. Elaine has completed numerous advanced courses in acupuncture for fertility and pregnancy, as well as Chinese dietary therapy. She is a founder member of the Brighton and Hove Natural Fertility Centre.
